PSV’s crucial league tie live Ten Sports
MUMBAI: Defending champions PSV Eindhoven will be looking for crucial points when they take on Feyenoord in Dutch Eredivise league match on Sunday, March 15.
Starting 5:00 pm IST, live and exclusive on Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent, the match pits two of the top teams in Dutch League, who are both struggling this year to reach the kind of form they have show in the past.
PSV are currently placed fifth in the 18-team League and have managed only 46 points from their 26 outings this season. That makes them 20 points shy of league leaders AZ Alkmaar. On the other hand, Feyenoord have only 31 points from their 26 matches, and are placed 10th.
PSV are coming off a 1-1 draw against FC Twente, currently second in the league, while Feyenoord were a 2-1 winner against the seventh placed NAC. Both teams were playing away from home. But on Sunday, Feyenoord will have the home advantage against PSV.
PSV manager Dwight Lodeweges saw the brighter side despite the draw against Twente, where they were leading courtesy of Hungarian winger Balazs Dzsudzsak. However, a late goal from Blaise N’Kufo spoiled the outing.
Lodeweges said: “We lost possession way too much in the final ten minutes. It’s impossible to explain these kind of things, but they simply happen. I’m very disappointed with this result though.
“However, I’m satisfied with the way we played. We were the better side before the break. Twente are a strong opponent, but we controlled the match.”
