MUMBAI: Digital sports platform will be exclusively broadcasting the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) for its 40th anniversary season in India. 

The sports car racing series, DTM, is based in Germany, and features top-tier sports car racing action across Europe. Encompassing the entire eight-event series, the partnership will allow Indian fans to catch all the action live on FanCode from 26th April to 20th October. 

India’s racing sensation Arjun Maini will be in action for the Mercedes-AMG team.

ATLANTA: US-based streamer YuppTV has secured telecast rights for the ongoing Tata Indian Premier League for a fifth consecutive year.  The deal the South Asian content-focused platform has sealed for IPL 2022 covers 114 countries. YuppTV's telecast of world cricket's richest tournament kicked off Saturday, March 26 and runs through till the May 29 final.

MUMBAI: Viacom18, the Reliance Industries Ltd-controlled joint venture between TV18 and ViacomCBS, will be introducing its English sports channels Sports18 1 SD and Sports18 1 HD on April 15, the company's distribution arm IndiaCast has stated in a public notice.

MUMBAI: Leading Indian digital sports content platform FanCode has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for the Meiji Yasuda J1League in the Indian subcontinent. The media rights deal that Dream Sports-owned FanCode has struck, financial terms for which were not disclosed, sees big league international football make a comeback on the platform.

LAUSANNE, Switzerland: Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPN) will retain media rights to broadcast major international archery events on its sports channels as well as livestream it on its premium OTT platform SonyLIV across the Indian subcontinent until the end of 2023.  The network has extended its deal with World Archery, financial terms for which were not disclosed, for two seasons.

LONDON: Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City FC have topped the Deloitte Football Money League for the first time. Abu Dhabi-owned City have become just the fourth club ever to top the Deloitte list, which examines the top-performing football clubs in terms of revenue every year. City's revenue of €644.9 million (£571.1m) over 2020-21 saw them climb from sixth to first for 2022.
