OTT platform Sportsfix gets additional funding

KUALA LUMPUR: OTT live streaming sports platform Sportsfix has got an additional round of funding from IPO Wealth, a Melbourne, Australia based investment group.

Sportsfix delivers local, regional and international Live, VOD and News Sports content to

mobile devices via Sportsfix.tv across the Asean region. The company recently launched in Malaysia with CELCOM Axiata and is covering LIVE, VOD and News of the Chinese Super League (CSL), K League Classic, LIGA 1 Indonesia, Thai Premier League, Philippine Basketball League, Bangladesh Cricket and a host of MMA Leagues from across the world.

Owned by SF Media Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TSA (Total Sports Asia), Sportsfix claims to be Asean’s first and only LIVE and VOD sports content OTT platform.

IPO Wealth managing director James Mawhinney stated, “Sportsfix was a natural choice for us given the ASEAN region has one of the highest uptake rates of mobile data consumption and a particularly keen interest in local and international sports. Sportfix’s business model of strategic expansion through telecommunication service providers makes absolute sense in rapidly obtaining market share.

We are confident they will quickly become a household name in the region and are delighted to be on board.”
