In the case of the people who presumably matter in the BCCI's power corridors however, they seem to work under an altogether different notion: "With great power there must also come great irresponsibility". 

“Asia Cup cancel ho chuka hai, joh September me tha (Asia Cup, which was to be held in September, has been cancelled),” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said Wednesday in an Instagram live session with Vikrant Gupta on the ‘Sports Tak’ webinar.

MUMBAI: Now here's a proposal that makes eminent sense considering the "force majeure" situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic roiling the world.   Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has suggested to India Today that India and Australia should swap the hosting rights of the next two T20 World Cups.

KOLKATA: Pakistan, technically the hosts of the next Asia Cup, have agreed to "host" the tournament at a neutral venue. That was the condition the "Big Daddy" of world cricket India set for participating in the biennial tournament. "Asia Cup will be held in Dubai and both India and Pakistan will play," BCCI president Sourav Ganguly told reporters at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made it clear that if the Pakistan Cricket Board wants India to participate in the 2020 edition of the Asia Cup, for which the PCB is the host, then it will have to select a neutral venue to hold the event.

MUMBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan on Sunday stated that the PCB will wait for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) till June 2020 to confirm the Indian cricket team’s participation in the next year’s Asia Cup. The tournament is scheduled to take place in September next year in Pakistan.

SINGAPORE: Pakistan are set to host the forthcoming edition of T20I Asia Cup in the year 2020 following the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting held in Singapore. The decision comes with a huge question mark considering the long standing position of defending champions India that they would not play their traditional rivals even in neutral territories, let alone in Pakistan.

MUMBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have given the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the rights to host the 2020 Asia Cup, but as the BCCI has made clear that it is unwilling to play games in Pakistan, the UAE is expected to host the tournament either fully or in part.
