MUMBAI: Fantasy sports platform Dream11, which had earlier this year been put on hold plans to raise $150-200 million in funding at a $2-2.2 billion valuation as a fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant chaos around it, is back "at the table" as it were.  

Inc42 reports that private equity firm Kedaara Capital has entered the fray as a potential investor alongside other private equity firms such as TPG Capital, Advent International, James Murdoch’s Lupa Systems and Chrys Capital, which have already evaluated the investment opportunity.

MUMBAI: New-age digital entertainment and technology company JetSynthesys has raised Rs 3 billion from existing stakeholders Infosys’ co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, Adar Poonawalla's family office and Navani family-owned Jetline Group, among others.  Thermax family office, Triveni Group and DSP Group have also invested in this round.

SINGAPORE: Leading Asian mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship (ONE), Monday announced that it had secured $70 million in fresh funding, bringing total capital to $346 million.  ONE has also "streamlined" operations, including a 20% reduction of total worldwide headcount. ONE reportedly has 380 odd employees on its payrolls currently.

NEW YORK: 21st Century Fox has led a round of funding in social broadcasting platform Caffeine, which also included participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz and Greylock Partners, and other undisclosed partners.  Caffeine also announced a content agreement with Live Nation to bring live music concerts to the social broadcast platform in Q4 2018.

MUMBAI: Swift, the parent company of North American eSports organization Team SoloMid (TSM), has announced the close of a $37 million series A funding round.  First reported in Forbes, the funding was led by Ethan Kurzweil of Bessemer Venture Partners, which also backs Blue Apron and Pinterest, and was previously an investor in Twitch.
