MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invites bids to provide services in relation to the design, hosting and maintenance of the digital properties of BCCI through a tender process. 

The BCCI is issuing two Request for Proposals (RFP) which are as follows:
1.     For Digital Properties of BCCI i.e., BCCI website (www.bcci.tv) and BCCI Mobile Applications for BCCI International and Domestic Matches (“BCCI Digital Properties”)

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League governing council Tuesday announced digital brokerage firm Upstox as the fifth official partner for the IPL, which will begin on April 9th.  This will be a multi-year partnership, the IPL GC confirmed.  It bears noting that Upstox has already taken a position on the IPL, signing up with Disney+ Hotstar, the IPL's official streaming partner, as a "co-powered by" sponsor.

MUMBAI: The IPL 2021 player auction list is out with a total of 292 cricketers set to go under the hammer in Chennai on February 18th, 2021. 1114 cricketers had initially registered for the auction. The final list was then pruned after the eight franchises submitted their shortlist of players.

MELBOURNE: Cricket Australia on Wednesday said it will grant No Objection Certificates to its IPL-bound players on a “case-by-case” basis. Players’ agents have indicated that unless there are injury concerns, there shouldn’t be any issue in granting NOCs as the event will be organised during CA’s official break, in April, PTI reports.

MUMBAI: The IPL players auction ahead of the 2021 season is likely to be held on February 18, a BCCI official told PTI on Friday. "The auction will be held on February 18. The venue is yet to be decided," the official said. Accordimg to the Union government's preferred newswire ANI however, February 18 is not "locked" as yet though Chennai has been chosen as the venue.

MUMBAI: The mini-auction before the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is expected to take place on 16th February.  Before that, players who are currently out of contract can register online before February 4. Also, all the franchises have been informed that the last date by which they should announce their list of retained players for the 2021 edition of the IPL is 20th January.

MUMBAI: International Management Group, which has held the events rights of the Indian Premier League since its inception, is in crisis talks with the BCCI to try and salvage the deal, after the Indian cricket board sent IMG a termination notice last week. As a top BCCI official told PTI on Friday: "Yes, we have sent them a termination notice."

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League’s governing council has has set January 21 as the deadline for the eight franchises to submit the names of their retained players, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel said on Thursday.  Patel and members of the IPL GC recently had a virtual meeting earlier this week where the planning and preparations of the next IPL was discussed at length.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has approved a 10-team Indian Premier League from 2022. The decision was ratified at the BCCI's 89th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Ahmedabad on Thursday.  It is now definite that the IPL will be a 94-match tournament from 2022, as was the case in 2010 when the BCCI added the (short-lived) Pune and Kochi franchises to the original eight-team mix.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India will add a ninth franchise from Ahmedabad ahead of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League, at least two newspapers have reported. While the IPL Governing Council has not discussed the matter as yet, a formal announcement will be made in due course, New Indian Express reports.
