DUBAI: ICC chairman Shashank Manohar has stepped down after two, two-year tenures at its helm. The ICC board met Wednesday and agreed that deputy chairman Imran Khwaja will assume the responsibilities of the chairperson until a successor is elected.  

The process for the chairperson election is expected to be approved by the ICC board within the next week.

NEW DELHI: In a major blow to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday asked the board to pay $23 million (Rs. 1.61 billion) by 31 December as compensation for the tax deductions the governing body incurred when India hosted the World T20 2016, IANS reports.

DUBAI: ICC chairman Shashank Manohar has been re-elected for cricket’s top job unanimously here on Tuesday. He was the only nominee put forward by the ICC. Manohar will serve another two-year term, having been elected as the chairman back in 2016.

MUMBAI: Shashank Manohar, the current International Cricket Council (ICC) independent chairman, is all set for a two-year extension of his tenure in the position.  According to a report by DNA, he has emerged to be the unanimous choice of all board members during the ongoing five-day quarterly ICC meeting in Kolkata.

MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the process for the recruitment of an independent director for the ICC board. The introduction of an independent director, who must be female, was approved by the ICC full council in June as part of wide ranging constitutional change aimed at improving the global governance of the sport, says an official statement.

LONDON: Afghanistan and Ireland were Thursday confirmed as full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after a unanimous vote at the ICC full council meeting at the Oval. Both will now be eligible to play Test cricket following a membership committee recommendation that the respective full member applications from each met the newly approved membership criteria and should be put forward for approval.

LONDON: After months of negotiations, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has agreed terms on a revised revenue share model from the International Cricket Council that was inked at the ICC's ongoing Annual Conference Week here Thursday. It was agreed during the conference that the BCCI would be getting $405 million, $266 million more than England, which will take home $139 million.
