MUMBAI: Match No. 32 of IPL 2022 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, which was shifted from MCA Stadium in Pune to Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai due to COVID-19 outbreak in the DC team, finally went ahead on schedule. 

The developments came even as a second overseas player of Delhi Capitals tested positive. This came just hours ahead of the team's game against Punjab Kings. 

New Zealand's Tim Seifert tested positive after a Rapid Antigen Test conducted on Wednesday afternoon, making it the sixth such case in the camp.

CHANDIGARH: Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings have joined forces with private entity Round Table India (RTI) and crowd funding platform ketto.org to help provide oxygen concentrators to COVID-19-affected patients. Punjab Kings will fund the procurement of oxygen concentrators, which will then be provided to patients for their use, a release from the IPL franchise said.

COLOMBO: The 2021 Asia Cup, which was shifted from Pakistan to Sri Lanka, was on Wednesday called off due to rising COVID-19 cases in the island nation. The Asia Cup, which was last held in 2018, was scheduled to be held in June but Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva announced that it will be difficult for them to conduct the tournament.
