NEW YORK: Nielsen Holdings plc Tuesday announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by a private equity consortium led by Evergreen Coast Capital Corporation, an affiliate of Elliott Investment Management L.P., and Brookfield Business Partners L.P. together with institutional partners (collectively "Brookfield") in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $16 billion, including the assumption of debt.

NEW YORK: Analytics major Nielsen Holdings plc, has sold its social media TV measurement and audience insights software provider Nielsen Social to Talkwalker, a global social listening and analytics company.
While financial terms were been disclosed, Talkwalker declared the "acquisition will build on its existing strength in serving global brands".
