Rajasthan Royals to launch cricket academy in UAE

DUBAI: In a bid to discover budding talents, Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals is set to launch its first academy in the UAE -- and second globally -- on October 12.

RR is the first IPL franchise to start operation of an academy in the UAE. The academy is being operated in partnership with UAE-based sports consulting firm RedBear Sports.

Oz swimming great Rice to set up academy in India
BENGALURU: Australian swimming legend Stephanie Rice will be setting up her own academy in India with the stated aim to help the country's swimmers win medals at the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games. Rice won three Gold medals, all in world record time, at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Nadal’s Mallorca academy to host next ATP Challenger Tour
BARCELONA: The ATP Challenger Tour will return to the city of Mallorca in Spain for the first time in 21 years as World No.1 tennis player, Rafael Nadal’s academy is all set to play hosts to the event which will take place from August 26 to September 2. The tournament will be called inaugural Rafa Nadal Open Banc Sabadell and will be a $50,300 hard court event.
