KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has announced that in partnership with the Badminton Association of Thailand and the Government of Thailand, the Asian leg of the adjusted HSBC BWF World Tour 2020, will be hosted with three tournaments in Bangkok in January 2021.

The staging of the Asian leg, which were scheduled to be held across the Philippines, Indonesia and China in November, was no longer an option to "guarantee the highest standard of logistics and participants", and therefore the January option was confirmed.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton World Federation (BWF), in full consultation and agreement with local host Badminton Denmark, has made the tough decision to postpone the TOTAL BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2020 in Aarhus, Denmark. The decision comes following the withdrawal of a number of participating teams from the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals and the European leg of the adjusted HSBC BWF World Tour.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton World Federation and Badminton Denmark announced Wednesday that the TOTAL BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2020 in Aarhus, Denmark have been postponed for a second time to new dates of 3 – 11 October. The postponement was necessitated after the Danish government extended coronavirus social-distancing measures banning “larger gatherings” until the end of August.

KUALA LUMPUR: Badminton World Federation (BWF) has approved the use of synthetic feather shuttlecocks at BWF International sanctioned tournaments of all levels from 2021. Following this decision, BWF has made it possible for shuttlecock manufacturers to seek approval under the BWF Equipment Approval scheme for versions of their synthetic feather shuttlecocks to be used in international competitions.
