NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

MUMBAI: The Indian cricket team is reportedly set to take on South Africa in a 5-match T20I series some ten days after the IPL is done and dusted.  As per Cricbuzz, which reported on the development, the T20I series against South Africa will will be held from June 9 to 19. "This is part of the FTP and there were always to be played after the IPL," a BCCI official told the cricket website.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has congratulated the India Under-19 team for their record-extending fifth title triumph at the U19 Men’s World Cup 2022, after the Yash Dhull-led side defeated England in the final at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua on Saturday.
