FIM, Dorna announce Women’s Motorcycling World C'ship

The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto hosted a very special presentation on Saturday as the FIM and MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports announced a new project: the FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship. 

The new competition is intended to widen access to the sport of motorcycle racing for women and create a platform of representation for female riders.

FIM confirms new OTT platform to launch later this month
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has detailed plans for a new OTT platform, which is in line with the FIM’s new strategy to produce only live content to be broadcast on FIM TV. FIM OTT platform is all set for launch later this month with an initial live broadcast on FIM-MOTO.TV from the finals of the Ice Speedway Gladiators at Inzell in Germany on 18-19 March.

E-Xplorer appointed FIM Series commercial rights-holder
MADRID: The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), have appointed E-Xplorer SA as the official series promoter and commercial rights-holder of the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup.  The parties were represented respectively by E-Xplorer CEO Valentin Guyonnet, CCO Carina Munte and FIM President Jorge Viegas at a signing at the FIM headquaters in Mies, Switzerland.

MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have announced the cancellation of the 2021 Grand Prix of Finland.  The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, as well as resulting travel complications to Finland, have obliged the cancellation of the event.

MotoGP cancels UK, Australian, Japan races
MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have announced the cancellation of the Japan, British and Australian Grands Prix.  The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has obliged the cancellation of the three races, which were set to take place from 16th to 18th of October at Japan's Twin Ring Motegi. The home of MotoGP manufacturers Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki, Japan is vital to the global presence and success of MotoGP.

COVID-19: 3 MotoGP races, MotoE World Cup, cancelled
MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna Sports on Wednesday jointly announced the cancellation of the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (German GP), the Motul TT Assen (Dutch GP) and the Grand Prix of Finland (Finnish GP).  The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has obliged the cancellation of all three events.

Dunlop to remain tyre supplier to Moto2, Moto3 until 2020
