MUMBAI: With six months to go until the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022, FIFA has announced Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai as the host cities for the tournament, as well as confirming that the draw for the tournament will take place in Zurich on 24 June.

PANAJI: Churchill Brothers SC will continue to be the lone team from Goa in the I-League after the All India Football Federation (AIFF) emergency committee approved the club’s request to be allowed to be part of India’s notionally top tier league. With the retention of Churchill Brothers, the I-League will comprise of 11 teams this season.

PANAJI: The Goa state cabinet on Wednesday cleared the proposal for leasing land admeasuring 189,000 sq ms at Dhargal to Goa Cricket Association for the construction of an international standard cricket stadium. The cricket stadium will be of 50,000 crowd capacity and it will be constructed by GCA.
