Hero I-League

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation Friday issued an invite to accept bids for new clubs to join the Hero I-League from the 2023-24 season onwards.

Under the Vision 2047 plan unveiled by the AIFF earlier this year, the federation plans to increase the number of teams in the I-League in a triple-tier system in order to provide opportunities to aspiring clubs and/or investors from various socio-economic backdrops.

NEW DELHI: The fourteenth edition of Hero I-League will kick-off on Saturday (January 9, 2021) in Kolkata. Eleven teams will need to enter the bio-secure bubble 14 days prior to their first match according to the schedule, which will be announced shortly. The matches will be telecast live on 1Sports.

KOLKATA: The I-League 2019-20 trophy was presented to Mohun Bagan in a ceremony held here Sunday after they won the title in a 1-0 win against Aizawl in March earlier this year.  Aroop Biswas, Minister of PWD, Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest of the event. Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League was present on behalf of the All India Football Federation.

NEW DELHI: The Hero Indian Super League will introduce relegation and promotion from the 2024-25 season, and leading up to that, the Hero I-League winners will get “direct slots” in the ISL in 2022 and 2023. This has been “agreed upon by all stakeholders”, All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das told PTI on Saturday.

MUMBAI: The All India Football Federation, which has picked Kolkata as the centralized venue for the Hero I-League and Hero 2nd Division League this season, is reportedly aiming to start the final round of the 2nd Division League around 15th September, and get it done by the 1st week of November.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation has confirmed that the upcoming 2020-21 season will see Sudeva Moonlight FC become the first club from the National Capital Region to compete in the Hero I-League, while Visakhapatnam's Sreenidhi FC will make its bow from 2021-22 onwards.

KOLKATA: Hero I-League club East Bengal FC on Friday received the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from its previous investor Quess Corp, thereby clearing the way for the Kolkata giants to submit the necessary documents to participate in the upcoming season's Hero I-League. The NOC also allows the club to bring new investors on board.

KOLKATA: City football giants East Bengal have been given an extra seven days by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to fulfil the I-League outfit’s deadline on the Club Licensing process. The Club Licensing administration of AIFF, on July 14, distributed the Club Licensing Application Pack (CLAP) to all the clubs who are eligible to undergo the Indian Club Licensing process for the 2020-21 season.

MUMBAI: After months of making one far-fetched claim after another, the time of reckoning is at hand for the men who matter at East Bengal FC. The Red & Gold Brigade will have to officially declare their change of ownership as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday sent out the club licensing agreements to all Indian Super League (ISL) and I-League clubs as part of the AFC protocols.

NEW DELHI: The capital-based Sudeva Moonlight FC is officially the first among the three clubs that had picked up documents for direct corporate entry into the upcoming season of the Hero I-League to submit its bid. The other two clubs that picked up bid papers are Sreenidhi FC (Visakhapatnam) and Ryntih SC (Shillong).
