NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation League Committee on Monday decided to postpone the Hero I-League by at least six weeks after a fresh COVID-19 outbreak hit the participating teams inside the bio-bubble.

I-League was suspended for a week last Wednesday after COVID-19 breached its bio-bubble. Eight players and three officials had tested positive last week.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation League Committee will decide January 4-5 when to hold the Hero I-League 2021-22 matches that were scheduled for December 30-31, 2021. The I-League had been suspended following the increasing cases of the Delta and Omicron variants of the Coronavirus across the country.

NEW DELHI: The 2021-22 season of the Hero I-League is tentatively scheduled to kick off mid-December and will be held in Kolkata, as was the case in the 2020-21 edition, the All India Football Federation announced on Saturday. The declaration was made after a meeting chaired by Subrata Dutta, senior vice-president, AIFF, and chairman, League Committee.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation has confirmed the participation of nine teams for the Hero 2nd Division League 2018-19, with the door ajar for a possible tenth team. The decison was made by AIFF's League Committee, which met at the AIFF Headquarters here Friday. The committee reviewed submissions made by the various 2nd Division League applicants under the club licensing process.
