ICC on backfoot as b'casters fume over bid process, PwC exits

The International Cricket Council is facing heat from broadcasters after PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PwC) announced they will no longer serve as auditors for the upcoming media bidding process. 

The development comes amidst increasingly strident demands that the ICC give the heave-ho to the requirement that closed bids be submitted for the first stage of the bidding process and instead go for an e-auction, as was done by the BCCI recently for the sale of Indian Premier League rights.

India world's fastest growing M&E market... if net access discounted: Study
LONDON: The Indian media and entertainment industry will remain the fastest growing in the world over the next five years, according to a new report released by global accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) - "Global Entertainment & Media Outlook 2018-2022 (The Outlook)". There is a rider though. Spending on internet access has to be discounted from the calculation.
