KOCHI: After serving out a lengthy ban of seven years, former India pacer S Sreesanth is set to make his return to competitive cricket with the President's T20 Cup in his home state Kerala. 

The President's T20 Cup is to be played in Alappuzha. 

Kerala Cricket Association president Sajan K Varghese confirmed Sreesanth's participation to Sportstar, adding for good measure that the right-arm pacer would be the star attraction for the tournament.

MUMBAI: The seven-year ban from the game imposed on him by the BCCI has officially come to an end and the Indian speedster S Sreesanth has declared himself free to play from Monday. With nowhere to play, the 37-year-old says he had even contemplated announcing his retirement in the last few days.

NEW DELHI: Finally acting on a directive from the the Supreme Court that was issued on March 15 this year, BCCI Ombudsman Justice (retired) DK Jain, in an order passed on August 7, has reduced the life ban imposed on cricketer S Sreesanth for alleged spot fixing to seven years.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday set aside the life ban imposed on former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth by the Board of Control of Cricket in India for his alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal. A Bench comprising justices Ashok Bhushan and KM Joseph said the disciplinary committee of the BCCI may reconsider within three months the quantum of punishment to be given to Sreesanth.
