CHENNAI: Fantasy sports platform newbie Sportasy has partnered with five teams in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League. 

The five teams are – Lyca Kovai Kings, Siechem Madurai Partners, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Nellai Royal Kings, and Ruby Trichy Warriors. 

In addition, the Ernakulam-based gaming platform has signed up Team India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Shivam Dube as brand ambassador. 

Sportasy, registered as Blossomfield Gamingzone Pvt. Ltd., offers daily fantasy sports contests and online fantasy sports tournaments.

MUMBAI: The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) returns to the shores of the east coast following a two-year hiatus for its fifth season that gets underway from July 19th to August 15th with LIVE action on Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports 2 and Disney+ Hotstar VIP.  It bears noting that Star Sports has been the host broadcaster for TNPL since the tournament's inaugural edition in 2016.

CHENNAI:  The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) reportedly plans to start the fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) on June 4 in four districts in the state.  The eight franchises were reportedly asked to send their player retention list by April 18.

CHENNAI: With the latest government order from the Centre prohibiting sporting events in August, the Tamil Nadu Premier League’s (TNPL) last hope of running the fifth edition has all but ended, Sportstar reports. The TNPL was originally supposed to have been held between June 10 and July 12 before it was postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

CHENNAI: The fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, which was scheduled to start on June 10, was on Monday postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. “The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has decided to postpone the 5th edition of TNPL tournament which was to start from June 10,” TNCA honorary secretary RS Ramasaamy stated in a release.
