CHENNAI: With the latest government order from the Centre prohibiting sporting events in August, the Tamil Nadu Premier League’s (TNPL) last hope of running the fifth edition has all but ended, Sportstar reports.
The TNPL was originally supposed to have been held between June 10 and July 12 before it was postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

CHENNAI: The fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, which was scheduled to start on June 10, was on Monday postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has decided to postpone the 5th edition of TNPL tournament which was to start from June 10,” TNCA honorary secretary RS Ramasaamy stated in a release.
