NEW YORK: USA Cricket Thursday launched its first-ever strategic plan, outlining the actions to be taken and initiatives to be launched through until the end of 2023.

The USA Cricket Foundational Plan articulates a long-term vision for cricket to be established as a "leading sport" in the United States and USA Cricket to become a Full Member of the ICC by 2030.

NEW YORK: The USA Cricket board of directors staged its quarterly board meeting remotely via video conference call.  Among numerous matters considered, the board spent time considering the following key areas: Challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic The Board noted that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic had presented USA Cricket with some significant challenges over the past few months.

NEW YORK: Paraag Marathe, the Indian-origin veteran administrator of the NFL team San Francisco 49ers, has been elected unanimously as the chairman of USA Cricket till 2020. Marathe’s 18-year experience in a variety of roles for the 49ers such as being its chief contract negotiator and overseeing the construction of the new Levi’s Stadium, is likely to serve the cricket board in good stead.
