It bears noting that vivo was also an official sponsor of FIFA World Cup Russia 2018.

MUMBAI: Famed yoga expert 'Baba' Ramdev-promoted Patanjali Ayurved's spokesperson SK Tijarawala has confirmed the firm was "considering" a bid for the title sponsorship of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).  The slot for title sponsorship of IPL is now open after Chinese smartphone maker Vivo exited the deal, most definitely for this year, and in all probability, permanently.

MUMBAI: Bowing to the inevitable, the BCCI confirmed Thursday that Vivo has dropped the baton on title rights for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League.  The Indian cricket board sent out a one-line statement on Thursday afternoon, stating: "The BCCI and Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020 (emphasis ours)."

NEW DELHI: No date has been finalised for the meeting of Indian Premier League's (IPL) governing council, sources within the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told ANI on Monday. The IPL's governing council is slated to hold a meeting this week in order to review various sponsorship deals following the death of 20 Indian soldiers in a violent clash last week with Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has no intention to review the title partner rights that Chinese smartphone brand Vivo holds for the Indian Premier League (IPL), BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal said on Friday. But the BCCI will not hesitate to terminate the contract in the event the government directs the Indian cricket board to do so, Dhumal told Indian Express.
