Star India has initiated arbitration proceedings against Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd for the media major's recent decision to pull back on its $1.4 billion TV rights sub-licensing agreement for International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments for the 2024-27 period.

Star India has asked company to pay damages for non-compliance.

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has updated its guidelines for ‘Qualification of Brand Extension-products and services’ under the restricted category prohibited from advertising by law. These modifications have been detailed in Chapter III Clause 3.6 (a) of the ASCI code, and specifically target brand extensions associated with restricted categories such as liquor and tobacco.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has stayed the termination of Shaji Prabhakaran as the Secretary General of the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Shaji Prabhakaran had taken the matter to the high court, asserting that his removal by AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey was illegitimate and that only the executive committee had the authority to terminate his services, IANS reports.

The All India Football Federation on Thursday revealed that multiple approaches have been made to several AIFF-registered players as part of concerted efforts to "manipulate matches" of the ongoing I-League. The AIFF stated it has taken "serious note" of the matter and declared its commitment to "taking every step within its power to prevent corrupt practices from undermining the values of football".

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken embattled edtech giant BYJU’S to the National Company Law Tribunal.  As per the details available on the NCLT website, although the case was filed on September 8, it was officially registered on November 15. The NCLT website indicates that the case is set to be heard on December 22.

The MotoGP Selection Committee, comprising members of FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports, announced Monday that the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team have been removed from the list of teams that will make up the grid for the 2024 season. "Repeated infractions and breaches of the Participation Agreement affecting the public image of MotoGP have obliged this decision," the selection committee declared.
