Fed Cup changes name to honour tennis great Billie Jean King

LONDON: The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced that the Fed Cup, the women’s world cup of tennis, has been renamed the Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas.

It is the first time a major global team competition has been named after a woman, ushering in a new era for the historic tournament and representing a landmark moment for sport.

2020 Davis Cup, Fed Cup fixtures postponed to 2021
MADRID: The International Tennis Federation and its commercial rights partner Kosmos Tennis have announced the 2020 Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals has been postponed until 2021 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Finals will now take place in Madrid in the week commencing 22 November 2021.
