LONDON: Newly-crowned English Premier League champions Liverpool FC have appointed Matt Scammell as their new commercial director.
Scammell was most recently head of global sponsorship sales for Liverpool's arch rivals Manchester United.
The appointment comes soon after Liverpool's confirmation on July 16 that Olly Dale, its now former commercial director, had "decided to leave the club after eight years".
