3-way race to title in F4 Indian C’ship finale

THE FIA-CERTIFIED Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC), part of the Indian Racing Festival, is gearing up for its season finale at the Madras International Circuit on 13-14 December. After four fiercely contested rounds, the championship battle has narrowed to three promising drivers.

Fifteen-year-old Kenyan talent Shane Chandaria (Chennai Turbo Riders) arrives in Chennai at the top of the standings with 158 points. His three victories, including an impressive performance at Kari last month, have placed him in a strong position heading into the finale.

Close behind is French racer Sachel Rotgé (Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru) on 134 points. He is well-acquainted with the Chennai circuit, having claimed two wins here during Round 2, and added another triumph in Coimbatore.

Indian driver Ishaan Madesh (Kolkata Royal Tigers) sits third with 127 points and remains firmly in contention. A race winner in Chennai earlier in the season, he has consistently shown the pace to challenge both Shane and Sachel. With only a small margin separating the trio, the title race remains wide open.

The midfield battle has also delivered some of the championship’s most compelling moments. Drivers such as Sai Shiva Sankaran (Speed Demons Delhi), Ghazi Motlekar (Kolkata Royal Tigers), and Luviwe Sambudla (Goa Aces JA Racing) have been central to close-quarters racing and frequent podium duels throughout the season.
