HYDERABAD: The government of Andhra Pradesh has allocated two acres of land to badminton star PV Sindhu to set up a badminton academy near Visakhapatnam.
The government order (GO) was issued on Thursday allocating two acres of land located at Chingadili village in Visakhapatnam rural mandal to set up P Venkata Sindhu Badminton Academy and Sports School for promoting sports in the public interest.
Sindhu is setting up the International academy at a cost of Rs 50 million. The academy would be set up in two phases. The government asked Sindhu to recognize the talent among youth and encourage them in sports.
