MUMBAI: Digital sports platform will be exclusively broadcasting the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) for its 40th anniversary season in India. 

The sports car racing series, DTM, is based in Germany, and features top-tier sports car racing action across Europe. Encompassing the entire eight-event series, the partnership will allow Indian fans to catch all the action live on FanCode from 26th April to 20th October. 

India’s racing sensation Arjun Maini will be in action for the Mercedes-AMG team.

ATLANTA: YuppTV, a leading video OTT platform for South Asian content, has acquired the digital streaming rights for BCCI Home Season 2019-20. YuppTV's rights cover all its users in continental Europe (non-exclusive), SAARC countries (except India), Central and South America, and Central Asia.   Cricket fans in the Middle-East region can also stream the Paytm South Africa tour of India on the YuppTV platform.

NEW DELHI: The Best FIFA Football Awards will be telecast live in India on September 24, as Gurugram-based Lex Sportel Vision on Thursday announced the acquisition of the rights for the Indian subcontinent. This will be Lex Sportel’s second association with a FIFA event after broadcasting the Round 2 draw for Asian qualifiers to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 preliminary competition.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPN) has acquired the exclusive media rights for Rugby World Cup 2019 from the Rugby World Cup Limited (RWCL).  The tournament will be held in Japan from 20th September to 2nd November and telecast in India live and exclusive on the SONY TEN 2 channels and will be livestreamed on SPN’s premium video on demand (VOD) service, SonyLIV.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPN) has acquired media rights comprising of exclusive television broadcast rights and non-exclusive digital transmission rights for the World Wrestling Championship 2019, to be held from September 14 to 22 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.  The agreement covers television and digital rights in the Indian sub-continent.

MUMBAI: In an initiative to enhance the coverage of Indian Cricket and take it to the nook and corner of the country, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a two-year radio rights arrangement with All India Radio (AIR). This initiative will offer millions of listeners across India the opportunity to follow their favourite sport via live radio commentary.

BARBADOS: The broadcasters for the Hero Caribbean Premier League have been confirmed for the 2019 tournament with deals with key partners in place in India, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, America, Canada and  South Africa.  In South Asia (excluding Pakistan and Sri Lanka) CPL has a broadcast deal in place with Star Sports that covers India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives.

PARIS: In the lead up to Tokyo 2020, Discovery-owned sports broadcaster Eurosport has acquired rights to the new franchise based International Swimming League (ISL) for the next two years. As part of the agreement with the ISL, Eurosport will also have digital rights to the competition and exclusive sublicense rights worldwide (except the USA and Australia).
