SENTOSA, Singapore: The Asian Tour has inked a International Media Partner agreement with The Wall Street Journal.

As the latest international media partner of the Asian Tour, WSJ  will receive branding, customer engagement and hospitality opportunities at selected Asian Tour events.

The partnership with the US publication will also allow the Asian Tour to broaden its exposure internationally through its promotion across WSJ’s digital assets.

MUMBAI: Social media giant Facebook has holed a media rights agreement with Augusta National Golf Club to broadcast the 2019 US Masters, which teed off Thursday, to select markets in West Asia for free. The agreement includes live coverage of all four days of the tournament in Augusta, as well as the green jacket ceremony, which crowns the winner of the competition.

NEW YORK: GolfTV, the OTT subscription partnership between Discovery and the PGA Tour, currently serving as the international distributor for PGA Tour events, is expanding the content partnership agreed last year with Tiger Woods. Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav announced recently that Woods had agreed to a series of head-to-head matches around the world that will be available exclusively on GolfTV.

PUNE: Indian golfers Sahil Jain, Murad Talib and Satish Cheeti booked their spots in the World Finals of the MercedesTrophy, scheduled to be held in Stuttgart, Germany in October. Playing at the National Finals at Pune's Oxford Golf Resort, Sahil in handicap CAT A (3-10) won with a score of 39 points in his category.

PUNE: The MercedesTrophy grand finale, after 27-day of intense golf activities spread across 11 cities, teed off at the Oxford Golf' Country Club here on Friday. The national finals will throw up three national winners from among the 41 winners of the 11 regional legs.
