Broadcast Rights

The International Cricket Council Friday announced that ICC cricket rights in Sri Lanka up until the end of 2025 have been awarded to MTV Channel (Private) Limited.

MTV will exploit the broadcast rights via their free to air channels, TV1, Shakthi TV and Sirasa TV. The digital rights will be exploited via www.sirasatv.lk and by icc.tv enabling more fans to watch ICC world events over the next two years.

MUMBAI: FanCode, India’s premier sports destination, has gained exclusive streaming rights for multiple AFC competitions for season 2023/24 and 2024/25. FanCode has been awarded the digital streaming rights, through a sub-licensing agreement by FSDL, the media rights holders for AFC competitions in India.

MUMBAI: Eurosport India, from the house of Warner Bros Discovery, Wednesday announced the acquisition of broadcast rights for the upcoming 49th King’s Cup 2023, which will feature the Indian national football team. The tournament will be live streamed on FIFA+.  The tournament is played in the September FIFA international window.

MUMBAI: Indian digital sports platform FanCode will exclusively livestream the upcoming Rugby World Cup 2023 in India.  Rugby World Cup 2023 will take place from 8 September - 28 October with matches played in nine venues across 10 host cities. The tournament will be the 10th men’s Rugby World Cup and the second to be hosted by France after a memorable event in 2007.

ATLANTA: YuppTV, an OTT South Asian content provider, Tuesday announced that it has secured broadcasting rights from Disney Star, the global rights holder, for the 16th edition of the Asia Cup 2023.  The cricket tournament will be played in the One Day International (50-overs) format between August 30 and September 17.
