Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has acquired the television and digital rights to broadcast and stream all New Zealand-based Blackcaps and White Ferns matches into India and associated territories for the next seven years.

It bears noting that SPNI’s digital rights in India will be co-exclusive with incumbent rights holder Amazon Prime for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. 

While financial details were not disclosed, Economic Times reported that the deal value was in the $90 million to $100 million ball park.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN), the official broadcaster of the ongoing India tour of Australia, is all set to broadcast the upcoming 3 T20I matches between the two cricketing giants, from December 4.  The T20I matches will be aired LIVE and Exclusive on SONY TEN 1 in English, SONY TEN 3 in Hindi and SONY SIX channels in English, Tamil and Telugu from 12.30 pm IST.

BRISTOL, Connecticut: Sports streaming service ESPN+ has reached a new six-year agreement with New Zealand Cricket for exclusive US rights to all men’s and women’s matches in the International Cricket Council (ICC) matches played in New Zealand, across all three formats.  The deal renews an existing six-year agreement, and adds up to 50 matches per season from Super Smash, New Zealand’s domestic T20 league.
