LAHORE: Najam Sethi, the main force behind Pakistan's successful staging of its own Twenty20 league, has been elected unopposed for a second stint as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The election process of the Pakistan Super League chief was carried out at a meeting of the PCB board of governors here Wednesday.
It will be Sethi’s second stint in the post after he was involved in a legal battle for leadership with former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf. That ended in May 2014 when Sethi said he would not contest elections for chairman.
Sethi replaces Shahryar Khan who completed his tenure and declared he would not be seeking another term.
Sethi is also a former caretaker chief minister of Pakistan's Punjab province.
