Kerala Evergreen issues apology for 'copied' crest

MUMBAI: Nine days after newly inducted I-League side Kerala Evergreen FC (there is nothing official about it yet though) was officially introduced to partners, club fans and media, it has been forced into firefighting mode over the club's crest and logo.

Reason: The crest is almost identical to that Ireland Premier League outfit Bray Wanderers FC.

Kerala Evergreen took to Twitter late on Thursday to apologise to Bray: "Dear fans, our apology for current situation regarding KEFC official logo. Graphic design was ordered from external company, based on specific criteria including shape, colours and symbols. Club will contact Bray Wanderers in this matter and started internal investigation.

"Our apology to @BrayWanderers for club logo issues!"
