MUMBAI: Global sports brand Puma has signed on entrepreneur and hip-hop star Yo Gotti as its new brand ambassador.

Yo Gotti is the latest Roc Nation artist to partner with Puma, following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Big Sean and Roc Nation executive, Emory Jones. Gotti will work with the brand on several programs and product collaborations, many of which will be inspired by styles that have been not only iconic to Puma, but to Gotti himself, says a statement.

"Puma has been an iconic name in the fashion world for decades, their ability to remain at the top of the game in not only sportswear, but in culture and fashion is inspirational," said Gotti. "I'm honored to be a part of that legacy."

"Yo Gotti's creative talent, drive, and genuine passion for his fans is the perfect match for Puma," said  Puma North America marketing vice president Allison Giorgio. "He is confident and isn't afraid to take risks and we are so pleased to welcome him to Puma and can't wait for his fans to see what he has in store for them through our collaboration."

As the CEO of the Collective Music Group (CMG) record label, Yo Gotti has mentored some of the promising up-and-coming rappers, including Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta. The Memphis mogul garnered a large fan base by releasing a slew of mixtapes and delivering a mix of club bangers and hard-hitting tracks, including "Act Right," "Five Star," "Errrbody" and "Down in the DM."

Gotti recently made his first top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with the smash hit, "Rake It Up" – a track off his collaborative Gotti Made-It mixtape with producer, Mike WiLL Made-It. He is currently preparing to release a new LP in the fall.
