HYDERABAD: Nike, the official apparel sponsor of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Saturday launched the latest ODI kit for the men’s and women’s national teams.
The new engineered mesh and strategically placed sweat zones help enhanced breathability for the team on the fiel, an official relase claims. The new design moves away from a traditional silhouette to using new cut lines alongside dynamic material combinations to emphasize a "multi-dimensional slash design and movement approach".
Taking inspiration from the stadiums and the three historic wins in 83’ 07’ And 11’, the inner pride print pays tribute to the 3 India victories. The new placket construction, the flex crest, garment cut angles and slash taping all add to making the new jersey lighter, more breathable and helps the athletes be agile on the field, the release further states.
"Nike’s purpose is to use the power of sport to move the world forward. We believe in a fair, sustainable future—one where everyone thrives on a healthy planet and level playing field. Team India’s kits are constructed with recycled polyester delivering unrivaled performance and lower environmental impact," the release asserts.
The Team India jerseys will be available at select Nike retail across India.
