BFC scores Myprotein as its ISL nutrition partner

BENGALURU: Defending Hero Indian Super League champions Bengaluru Football Club (BFC) has partnered with UK-based sports and nutrition brand Myprotein for the sixth season of the ISL.

Myprotein, which has come on board as ‘Official Sports and Nutrition Partner’, officially is considered as one of the foremost brands for fitness enthusiasts and has created a niche for itself amongst sports-lovers in the country.

“Nutrition has always been an important part of sport, and we’re really glad to join hands with Myprotein on a partnership that I am sure will be mutually rewarding. Their products are some of the best in the industry, and we’re really glad to be partnering with them for the upcoming season,” said club CEO Mandar Tamhane.

Esha Singh, general manager, Emerging Markets, Nutrition and Beauty brands, stated: “What started out as a small effort in 2013 to put Indian football on the world map, has today emerged as a brand which has made football aspirational in India. Bengaluru Football Club is a unique initiative which has helped to popularise football as a brand and at the same time, promote the game among the youth by training them to be professional footballers. With their fans-centric philosophies, BFC is going to be a critical aspect of shaping the Indian football. Being a part of this journey is a dream wherein we at Myprotein can contribute significantly towards development of football as one of the major sports in the country.”

BFC played out a 1-1 draw in its first game of the season against North-East United FC at its home stadium Kanteerava Tuesday, offering the first glimpse into the functioning of the partnership.

It was only late last month that Myprotein announced its foray into the Indian market via a strategic partnership with MSM Retail Pvt Ltd.
