NEW DELHI: Retired Team India cricketer Harbhajan Singh is among five nominees selected by the Aam Aadmi Party for Rajya Sabha or the Upper House of Parliament from Punjab, where the party won a gigantic victory in recent assembly elections.

Elections for five Rajya Sabha seats that are falling vacant from Punjab on April 9 are set for March 31.

Harbhajan Singh, 41, who filed his nomination as an AAP candidate on Monday, was seen in a yellow turban, inspired by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann seated next to him.

NEW DELHI: The AAP government in Delhi has confirmed that it will be investing Rs 1.4 billion in constructing an 18.2-acre sports complex in Kair Village in Najafgarh, an area where former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag hails from originally.
