Asian Boxing C'ship shifted out from Delhi, Dubai to host

ABU DHABI: The UAE Boxing Federation, in coordination with the Indian Boxing Federation and the International Boxing Association (AIBA), will host the Asian Boxing Championship on 21st May in Dubai.

The championship was set to be held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on the same date, but the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in India prevented the event from taking place.

The UAE Boxing Federation subsequently offered to host the event, and both the General Authority for Sports and the Asian Boxing Federation welcomed the move.

Asian Boxing C'ships to have concurrent men's, women's events
BANGKOK: The Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) has officially confirmed that the Asian Boxing Championships in 2019 will witness the men’s and women’s events being hosted simultaneously in the Thai capital city from 19-27 April. Bangkok’s Huamark Indoor Stadium will be the venue, which can attract 6000 fans at the maximum.
