Qatar to stage AFC Asian Cup in Jan-Feb 2024 across 8 stadia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 have confirmed that the upcoming edition of Asia’s flagship national team competition will be held from January 12 to February 10, 2024.

The quadrennial continental championship was awarded to China in 2019 but the world’s most populous country relinquished the rights this year as it pursued a now rescinded zero-COVID policy.

NEW DELHI: The Asian Football Confederation has conferred the All India Football Federation with the AFC Elite Youth Scheme full membership status. In a letter to Kushal Das, general secretary, AIFF, Windsor John, general secretary, AFC wrote: "We are pleased to inform that your application for full membership of the AFC Elite Youth Scheme has been approved by the AFC Youth Panel."
