DHAKA: India will tour Bangladesh for the first time since 2015 beginning December 4. The itinerary for the tour announced here Thursday by the Bangladesh Cricket Board includes three ODIs and two Tests of the ICC World Test Championship cycle 2.

The tour kicks off with the ODI series with all matches taking place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The first Test will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram with the two teams returning to Dhaka for the second Test.

NEW DELHI: Eden Gardens could become the venue for India's first day-night Test should the Bangladesh Cricket Board accept the request made by the Big Daddy of international cricket. BCB on Sunday confirmed that the BCCI has requested them to play a day-night Test during the upcoming India tour and has said they will respond after consulting their players and team management.

DHAKA: The players have called off their strike following the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s promise to meet most of their demands, including pay hike and better facilities.  “The board has assured us that our demands, requirements will be fulfilled. We are joining the camp on the 25th (Friday),” Shakib Al Hasan told a news conference after a discussion with the BCB in Dhaka on Wednesday night.

MELBOURNE: Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed on Thursday that it will compensate Bangladesh following the cancellation of their 2-Test and 3-ODI series in August this year, IANS reports. Australia are planning to host them for a T20 series in late 2019, so that both teams can be adequatedly prepared for the ICC World T20 to be held in Australia in 2020.

MUMBAI: Bangladesh has initiated a crackdown on illegal betting during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League. Police raids have been carried out at cricket stadia across the country, and at least 77 people have been 'thrown out of two cricket grounds in Dhaka and Sylhet in the past few days on allegations of betting during the BPL.
