BVP Rao

NEW DELHI: The Indian Sports Ministry has taken its fight with the Archery Association of India (AAI) to the highest level, approaching the Supreme Court (SC) on the basis of the association’s elections being controversially conducted, Indian Express reports.

The ministry has submitted a plea for the court to remove amendments made to the AAI constitution, which goes against the National Sports Code 2011 as it doesn’t permit public servants from holding office in a National Sports Federation (NSF). Besides this, it wants fresh elections being held.
