MUMBAI: Even as the Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) fire continues to take a toll of the players, auditors and rating agencies being the latest, with new reports of mis-governance unravelling by the day, Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings has also come under the scanner.

The attention of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly been drawn to Chennai Super Kings over a Rs 3 billion investment made by IL&FS’s financial arm IFIN into the IPL team.

KOCHI: The Muthoot Group has announced its association with Indian Premier League (IPL) as the principal team partner of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). As a part of this association, all CSK player jerseys will carry The Muthoot Group`s logo on the front. The company has inked a three-year deal with CSK.

CHENNAI: N Srinivasan controlled India Cements, which owns IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings through CSK Cricket, is making a big bang return to the Indian Premier League after a two-year suspension. The MS Dhoni helmed team has filled in all nine available slots on the CSK Jersey, Financial Express reports.

TO RETAIN OR NOT to retain. It is the biggest dilemma facing Indian cricket now. With a decade over, one would think the Indian Premier League (IPL) would have got its act together. Especially on team composition. While it always maintained that the 2018 edition will see all players being thrown into a common auction pool, there are franchises that would like to retain important players.

MUMBAI: A proposal floated by the Indian Premier League governing council, if agreed upon by franchises during next month's workshop, will allow for a minimum three retentions (one Indian and two foreigners) by returning IPL teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
