Formula E inks multi-yr global headwear licensing deal with New Era

Formula E and international sports and lifestyle brand, New Era, Wednesday announced a multi-year global licensing deal for a range of fan headwear products with New Era supplying the official podium cap for the first time in motorsport.

The Hankook Tire podium cap was unveiled at the 2023 Hankook Mexico E-Prix where more than 40,000 fans saw Jake Dennis (Avalanche Andretti Formula E team) win the first race of Formula E’s GEN3 era and become the first racing driver to take the top step of the podium wearing a New Era 9FORTY cap.

Formula E season resumes with six-race Berlin showdown
LONDON: The historic German airfield has been chosen to close out the current season of the FIA Formula E Championship, hosting three double-headers in quick succession on August 5/6, 8/9 and 12/13.  Formula E had already completed five races before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Formula E to have record 11 teams in Season 5
LONDON: The fifth season of the ABB Formula E Championship is all set to begin on 15 December this year in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia with 22 brand new Gen2 cars, rules and cities. FIA, the governing body of world motorsport has approved the participation of 11 teams in the competition, which will mark the first instance of Formula E being contested by more than ten teams.

Rosberg confirms investment in Formula E
BERLIN: Retired former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg has confirmed his long-term commitment to electric car racing as an investor and shareholder in Formula E. Rosberg's "public unveiling" as a Formula E shareholder will be when he gets behind the wheel of the official ABB FIA Formula E Championship's Gen2 car at the 2018 Berlin E-Prix on May 19 for a test drive.
