Hero 2nd Division

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) indicated Tuesday that for the upcoming season of the Hero I-League, it was considering including corporate teams through a bidding process. 

The AIFF League Committee also discussed including corporate teams through a bidding process in the Hero 2nd Division League as well.

The committee also decided that the number of registered players in a team would be brought down from 35 to 30.

NEW DELHI: Trau FC have become the second team from Manipur in the Hero I-League after Neroca FC. Trau had already secured their qualification after they beat Ozone FC in their penultimate match on May 19. Trau finished their engagements on 15 points from 6, 2 points clear from Chhinga Veng FC who finished second playing same number of matches.

NEW DELHI: With the two top-division leagues already half-way through, the Hero 2nd Division League is all set to kick-off with local rivals Mohammedan Sporting and ATK Reserves facing off against each other at the Kalyani Stadium on 12 January.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation will hold its annnual general meeting on December 20, the AIFF executive committee, which met here Saturday at AIFF's headquarters, "unanimously" decided. Updating the committee about I-League matters, Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League, informed that the Hero 2nd Division will kick off next month.
