Hero Asia Cup

NEW DELHI: Hockey India has announced a cash award of Rs 100,000 each to the 18-member Indian women's team that lifted the Women's Asia Cup in Japan. The Indian team also notched up another triumph of sorts on Monday by breaking into the top 10 in the FIH world rankings. Gaining two places in the ranking table, the team is now placed at number 10 behind Korea and ahead of Spain.

DHAKA: Indian Men’s Hockey Team were crowned as the Hero Asia Cup 2017 Champions after they beat Malaysia 2-1 in the final of the tournament here Sunday at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.  This is the third time that India have won the Asia Cup title and after a gap of 10 years.

DHAKA: The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Monday announced Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, as title sponsor of the Men’s Asia Cup 2017, which will be hosted by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation.
