MUMBAI: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters and Indian golf's "corporate patron", has taken the lead sponsor position for the live broadcast of the 149th Open Championship on Eurosport in India. 

The Open, one of golf's four majors, is scheduled to be played from Thursday, July 15, through to Sunday, July 18.

The Royal St. George’s Golf Club in England has hosted 14 Open Championships since 1894 and The Open returns to it after a decade.
