Odisha FC were crowned the champions of the Super Cup football tournament after they prevailed over Bengaluru FC 2-1 in the summit showdown at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Tuesday, winning their first ever silverware.

While Brazilian Diego Maurício struck both goals for the winners in the first half, Sunil Chhetri scored from a penalty in the 84th minute to reduce the margin for Bengaluru FC.

KOCHI: The 2022-23 Hero Super Cup, featuring 16 teams in the Group Stage, will take place from April 8-25, in Kerala.  Two of the three cities among Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram will host the tournament. The qualifying round will kick off on April 3.
