MANCHESTER: Football's rule-making body IFAB has approved extensive trials with additional permanent substitutions for actual or suspected concussion effective January 2021.

This follows consultations IFAB had with key stakeholders and recommendations from the Concussion Expert Group (CEG) and IFAB’s Football and Technical Advisory Panels (FAP-TAP).

LONDON: Following the decision taken on 8 May to give competitions scheduled to be completed in 2020 the option of allowing teams to use up to five substitutes, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) had agreed to review whether to extend this option further.

ABERDEEN: The International Football Association Board (IFAB), the Zurich-based organisation responsible for the formation and implementation of the laws of the game globally, held its 133rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Scottish city of Aberdeen recently. The meeting was attended by representatives from FIFA and the football associations of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

ZURICH: The International Football Association Board (The IFAB) unanimously approved the use of video assistant referees (VARs) for the upcoming World Cup in Russia at its 132nd annual general meeting (AGM) that took place at FIFA’s headquarters here Sunday.
