NEW DELHI: The surging Omicron variant of COVID-19 has led to a rash of golf tournaments being postponed across the country.
For the Indian Golf Union (IGU) however, its focus is on successfully staging the upcoming $2 million Hero Indian Open, scheduled by the DP World Tour to run from February 24-27 at DLF GC, Gurgaon.
Meanwhile, the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT), which recently announced its first four events for the 2022 season, has postponed the first two at Pune GC and Aamby Valley Resort Jan. 12-14 and Jan. 19-21 respectively.
