Serving as the Official Partner for Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, Bira 91 is set to bring a "fresh and innovative approach to fan engagement" for India’s biggest annual sporting spectacle.

Viacom18 has secured an Injunction order against various pirate websites, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as well as John Does/Ashok Kumars/Unknown Defendants, for the upcoming TATA IPL 2023.  This is the first time the tournament will be streamed/ hosted/ exhibited/ transmitted digitally exclusively on Viacom18’s authorised platforms.

MUMBAI: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has reportedly replaced struggling edtech platform Unacademy as an official partner of the Indian Premier League for the 2023 season.  Other than Unacademy, the IPL has Dream11, Cred, Upstok, Swiggy Instamart and RuPay as official partners, each of which pay an average of Rs 60 crore for a 74-match season.

MUMBAI: The BCCI announced on Sunday that India officially holds the Guinness World Record for hosting the largest number of spectators ever in a T20 cricket match. The milestone was set during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final between eventual winners Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat, where the official attendance was recorded as 101,566.

MUMBAI: Ahead of the IPL mini-auction, a total of 163 players have been retained among the ten franchises while 85 were released. For the mini-auction, the teams, over and above the purse left after last year’s auction and this year’s retention/release, will have an additional Rs 5 crore to spend.

MUMBAI: The players auction for the next year's Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held in Kochi on December 23, a BCCI official said on Wednesday.  The Turkish city of Istanbul, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad were also in contention to host the auction but the BCCI evenatully opted for the coastal Kerala city.

NEW DELHI: Freshly minted Indian Premier League chairman Arun Singh Dhumal has reiterated the Indian board's long held monopolistic stance that active Indian male cricketers contracted with the BCCI would not be allowed to compete in any of the T20 leagues that have sprung up across the globe in the wake of the super success of the IPL.

MUMBAI: The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League will see the return to IPL's pre-Covid-19 era format of teams played home and away games.  "The next season of men's IPL will also go back to the home and away format with all ten teams playing their home matches at their designated venues," BCCI president Sourav Ganguly confirmed in a note to state units.

Iyer, who resigned last month as chief executive officer of RPSG Sports, had overall charge of the group's interests in cricket and football, and earlier in table tennis as well.
